JM helps you understand that reducing your overall exposure to formaldehyde can make your home a healthier and safer place for you and your family. And using Johns Manville Formaldehyde-free™ fiber glass insulation can help you achieve that reduction and follow the California Air Resources Board's recommendations to use formaldehyde-free building materials, including insulation, so that it emits little or no formaldehyde. JM promotes a healthier environment.

During our manufacturing process, JM incorporates an average of 25 percent recycled content across North America. That content (as certified by Scientific Certification Systems) includes at least 20 percent post-consumer and the balance post-industrial recycled glass. All that adds up to 90,000 tons of recycled content in JM fiber glass insulation each year.

We care about clean air, too. We are the only fiber glass insulation manufacturer to use pollution prevention measures to reduce annual hazardous air pollutant emissions by more than 200,000 pounds. And the US EPA has recognized JM's move to Formaldehyde-free™ insulation by awarding JM an exemption from the EPA's formaldehyde Hazardous Air Pollutant regulations applicable to the rest of the industry.
