Energy Saving Awareness

Energy savings and greenhouse gas reductions can come from more than just placing more fuel efficient cars and trucks on the roadways. Are you aware of your own home's global impact? A recent Energy Awareness survey conducted by the Opinion Research Corporation, suggested many Americans are unaware of their home's energy savings and greenhouse gas emission reduction potential. While a large portion of Americans believe that road transportation is the single largest consumer of energy in the U.S., the reality is that the U.S. residential sector is the single largest energy consumer in the world and when combined with Commercial buildings account for nearly half of all greenhouse gas emissions in the U.S. Become more aware of how our nation's energy is consumed and where the greatest opportunities are to reduce energy consumption in the Energy Awareness Month release.
