Duct Systems Must be Completely Sealed

If a duct system is not properly sealed, it can let conditioned air escape, or allow contaminated or unconditioned air to enter the system. Not only does this increase heating and cooling costs, it can draw humidity, dust, mold spores and other contaminants into the system from the attic, crawl space or garage—or even radon gas from the soil.
